In Dark Green we follow conservationist and
storyteller Paul Rosolie deep into the jungle of the Amazon, risking his life
to learn more on this last remaining wilderness on earth….
"Playing and recording the music for Dark Green was a journey that
kept me connected to South america´s nature, in a very nostalgic
way.
I wrote the music, from Barcelona, searching for the lights, the greens,
the waters, and the songs of birds that resonated in my head and stories from
my youth.
I feel very grateful to have collaborated with Aagje, Jesper and Paul,
in making a documentary with such an urgent and important message for the world
right now, and also allowing me to play with the sound of South American
strings, as a connection with the past."

"We feel incredibly fortunate to have
collaborated with Nascuy Linares, whose music is a vital aspect of the film's
atmosphere. As words alone cannot fully capture the richness of the extremely
biodiverse Amazonian rainforest, nor describe how utterly dependent we all are
on 'nature', we wanted to create an intense jungle experience. A nature film,
but free of explanatory voice-overs, focusing instead on the feels and sounds
of the jungle. Nascuy created exactly that feeling.The score for the film plays
with the elements; each song is full of life. What is most impressive about
Nascuy's music is his ability to create unique scenes: even without the images
the audience is taken on a journey into the unknown. His work adds a unique,
spiritual layer to the film; one that is both misty and fierce, lighthearted
yet with a dark, clouded tone of luring danger.In short, Nascuy's music was a
vital part of Dark Green's artistic expression, and it enriched the film in
ways that we couldn't have imagined."
