  CORSAIRE Atmosphere Adventure By Maximilien Mathevon Label Plaza Mayor Company Ltd CORSAIRE There are places that touch you with their atmosphere, their architecture, the history they evoke. For me, one of these places is the city of Saint-Malo. It was quite natural that I came to create an album inspired by the corsair city, mixing electronic music and traditional influences. The sounds of bodhran, bombarde and uillean pipes mingle with the medieval sounds of violas da gamba, orchestral colors and synthesizers to create a composite and singular sound universe. These images are a moving testimony of the life of a country during these events. Sous nos yeux on Spotify It was important to me that the music of “SOUS NOS YEUX” remained respectful of these sometimes intimate stories. I had to find an emotion that was accurate and never caricatured, bringing out all the context and the upheavals hidden behind these often falsely innocuous images. The music is intimate and minimalist, mainly using sounds of strings, piano and percussions. I gave part of the music a medieval color corresponding to the origin of the myth of Robert. But also cause strange and disturbing events, especially at night when the young woman dances in the deserted store. Happy Night Ost on Spotify The music of "Happy Night" is divided into three elements: suspense music, comedy elements and the music for the dance sequences. For the suspense, I used a dark and ambient style, combining piano, sounds of 80s synthesizers and contemporary sound design.  The comedy music, by contrast, is light and mischievous, using tones of double bass, string pizzicato and clarinet. As for the dance sequences, they are dynamic and EDM (Electronic Dance Music) style. They also reflect Xin's state of mind, her sensuality and sadness.
