Au Xème siècle, le viking Rollon est banni de Norvège. Il voyage jusqu’en France où il deviendra le fondateur de la Normandie.

Pour Rollon, la musique devait d’abord représenter le côté viking et guerrier de Rollon, mais également le côté chrétien de l’évêque Francon qui arrangea le destin de Rollon. Les deux éléments cohabitent avec une couleur musicale basée sur des sons orchestraux mais aussi sur le cymbalum, la harpe, la flute et les chœurs.

In the 10th century, the Viking Rollon was banished from Norway. He travelled to France where he became the founder of Normandy.

For Rollon, the music had to represent first the Viking and warrior side of Rollon, but also the Christian side of Bishop Francon who arranged Rollon's fate. The two elements coexist with a musical color based on orchestral sounds but also on the cymbalum, harp, flute and choirs.
