…Original Soundtracks and Music Around the World…
Harmonizable reveals several compositions from
different soundtracks in Hispanic-American cinema and a platform for research
through music and soundcape, under a harmonized atmosphere, where harmony
belongs as a common good to all mankind.
1 - FADO – Is a minimal expression of a Portugues
Fado, played with two American folk instruments. Freites is my mother’s last
name, and it has a Portuguese root, maybe that is the reason why I feel so
attracted to this type of slow music.
2 – HIMALAYA – Theme for the second season of
the Tv Series “Children on the Summit” Anybody’s quest for the Himalaya is
always an inspiration.
3 – MINIMAL VENEZOLANO – An electronic
experimentation with Venezuelan rythms. The harmonies looks for an spiritual
transportation.
4 – RITO – Shamanic sound always haunted my
musical context. I insist in experimenting with simple harmonies and native
sounds from South-America.
5 – BUSQUEDA – A soundtrack for an un-filmed
road-movie. A nostalgic view of the road with the scent of gasoil and rain
falling on hot macadam.
6 – SAMUEL – 7 – ALMA – 8 – FINAL – Main themes
for Cine Atomo’s second long feature film “Samuel”, directed by Cesar Lucena in
2008. Cine Atomo’s is a movement about making film with minimum resources, only
supported by friendship and goodwill.

ARPON – The final theme for the argentinan movie “Arpon”, directed by Tom
Spinoza. Is a humble and looped melody with airs from the south.
10 – MAGIA – Main theme for the documentary
“Harvesting Water” directed by Mohammed Hussain.
11 – PIANISIMO – Is an ehthereal electroacoustic
experimentation. An attempt to make a flow with the piano and electronic
instruments.
12 – FOLKTRONICO – It started as a lullabay
and developed to some king of song without lyrics. The title comes from a musical
movement that started in my hometown at the beginning of this millenum.
13 – INFANTE – It is also part of
“Folktronico” style. Some kind of minimal electroacoustic music, where the
“cuatro” instrument leads the harmony.
14 – CANCION DE CUNA – Is a harmonized
lullaby that evolves into an instrumental sarabande with an electroacoustic
arrangement.
15 – HOMBRE – It’s melodic theme for birds
and virtual instruments.
16 – ETNIA – Main theme for the experimental
video “Poex” by Maosan. It is a kind of sensation about my feelings towards the
beginning of harmony.
