COMPOSER STATEMENT

The collection of compositions presented here represents an intimate exploration of my personal experiences and emotions. Each piece is a window into a specific moment in my life, from the fond memories evoked by a melody I've held dear since childhood, to the raw vulnerability of a composition born from a difficult period. The use of classical instruments such as strings, piano and accordion is intertwined with modern elements like synths, pads and electric guitar to create a unique and dynamic soundscape. This project was an opportunity for me to break free from my usual creative boundaries and to experiment with new forms of expression. It was a journey of self-discovery, one that allowed me to tap into my deepest emotions, and to create something that not only evokes a profound emotional response in others but also fills me with pride and accomplishment.

Resso, the music streaming app owned by TikTok parent Bytedance, has today (March 4) publicly launched in India, taking on the likes of SPOT, plus Gaana, JioSaavn and Apple Music in the market. Resso  reportedly launches in India with a split price offering: there’s a free-to-use tier which offers music streaming at 128kbps, while a paid tier is available for Rs 99 ($1.35) per month on Android and Rs 119 ($1.62) per month on iOS. Both paid options offer streaming up to 256kbps with no advertising. The launch of Resso in India has been licensed by the likes of Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Beggars Group and Merlin, as well as large local India-based rightsholders such as T-Series, Saregama, Zee Music, Times Music and Tips. Throughout the process, I was able to work very closely with Director Dante Lam. Combined with his fresh perspectives and the state-of-the-art visuals, I was able to draw forth my best creative juices to enhance the cinematic experience. The beginning of my composing thought sequences always began with how the team of 8 special forces members worked together, putting their own egos aside to accomplish the same goal. While both action and plot were stunning, this film was more about the being intrinsically human and the fulfilment of one's calling to me.
