Sonia, a fifty-year-old
woman, looks as she is living a love story with a much younger man than her.
The story is ending because she intends to go back at home with her husband and
two sons.
At the same time … a
crime! A trader is killed in his office and his secretary is in an irreversible
coma.
Two stories go side
by side, apparently without ever meeting: police investigations on the
mysterious murder and Sonia who finds she can no longer go back from her
family.
In addition to the
young man, a friend and the old professor of philosophy try to make her
understand that at certain times of life we can’t decide to go back.
As soon as the
trader’s case is resolved, the two stories join: discovered the killer we also
find out
the incredible
Sonia’s story…
I
have known Roberto Lippolis for several years and we wanted to work together.
The opportunity came with the film "The Cat and the Moon", a
drama and a thriller at the same time. Since I am specialized in the thriller
genre, Roberto thought of me for the original music and Marco Santini
(violinist and composer) for the local music (the film was shot in the Marche
region and he wanted to have that particular flavor).
I
therefore worked on two nostalgic/dramatic music themes for sax and strings and
suspense music for the mysterious scenes that are a “prelude” to a crime.
I had
the opportunity to work with high-level saxophonist, Simone Salza,
who added a Jazz flavor to my music, and with a strings section of the
"Orchestra di Roma", created and managed by violinist Antonio
Pellegrino. The music was recorded and mixed by Gabriele Conti at the "Stone
Recording Studio" in Rome (Italy).

I
met Marco Werba several years ago and we wanted
to work together. The opportunity came with the film
"The
cat & the moon". Marco is a composer extremely
versatile, who in recent years has specialized in writing
music for thrillers. He managed to grasp the nuances
of my movie, both for the dramatic and thriller parts.
Simone Salza's saxophone added to Marco Werba's
score
a nostalgic Jazz flavor.
The
film is set in the Marche region and composer
Marco
Santini has lent us some of his compositions
that
enriched the film score, giving a genuine and
"folkloric"
flavor.
An
excellent, varied and refined work.
Roberto Lippolis
