Karl Walsh Songwriter (Manchester UK) The songs are all both deeply personal and universal. I write a lot about how it feels to be a small person faced with a world of trouble! Most of the songs are about love, not just romantic love but love of family, friends, our fragile world and life itself. At the circus we see human beings who work all of their lives to present one fleeting moment of beauty. It is dangerous and death defying and that is human life in a nut shell. My song writing starts with an acoustic guitar and a few lines of poetry, sometimes waking up from a dream in the middle of the night. When inspiration calls you have to decide if you are going to answer or just turn over in your sleep and keep dreaming.
